Good story, nice graphics, and built well to keep user from getting lost. Story too detailed and excessive banter. Need to just stack potions in inventory and define how stats affect play (defensive!). Some spells seem imbalanced, but overall good old RPG fun.

Just like old turn based classics. Reminds me of the older final fantasy games.

I dled Ash based on its positive reviews. It has not disappointed. I especially appreciate the comedic touches, such as the incidental descriptions and dialogue. The main characterizations are also well done, which is unusual praise from me. While the random combat encounters could use more variety, the fighting and inventory systems themselves are good and make the battles more efficient.

Very nice old fashion 2D gameplay, one of the best in my opinion. Great storyline, with humour and mystery. The ending makes you want more too. Love the characters in the play!

Just WAY to hard

The game wasnt difficult , just took a little bit of time. But I really enjoyed the story line, very good game for the price.

I remember playing this game about a year ago and the enemies looked way better then they do now. I must say this new version is a big disappointment. The graphics seem to have degraded to allow a younger age range to play without being creeped out by the looks of the enemies but this is also a big turn off for the players who want the cool and clearly evil creatures to fight against, which was one of the main things I preferred this game over other RPGs for. I just defeated the snake monster in Celan and was really hoping for something to revamp my love for this game but it looked like a blob of green mush as opposed to the long scaled, coiled evil looking creature that I remember. The first boss in the mind was also a big disappointment. after I saw that the uncorrupted characters had changed in appearance I was hoping for an even better looking boss. Im not really sure I want to continue playing as its ruining my memory of the awesomeness of the game and if ash2 is like this as well then Im definitely not buying it. The plot is the same so far which is a relief as well as the very "ashy" music. 2 stars for dropping quality of gaming for quantity of customers. Even a "graphic" option would suffice to get a 5 star. The plot is absolutely brilliantly laid out but the graphics are a constant turn off.

It should be obvious to most people that this is an RPG Maker VX-made title, which is a program that lets you very easily create your own RPG game. At the core, this game is rather bland when it comes to gameplay and follows the same style as the base of what you get with the RPG Maker program, but there are some nice little additions as well as a decently told story with some humor (albeit, out of place at times.) My only real issue is whoever did the mapping for a lot of the towns and shops did a horrible job. For one, you used the wrong door entrance for all the houses. Some shops have an excessive amount of space compared to how big they appear on the outside breaking some immersion. I really like this game so far, but these minor things stand out. Hopefully, as one of millions of RPG Maker games, this one could stand out.

Easily one of the best story driven old school RPGs available for the iPhone, and I dont just mean by mobile standards. The characters and narrative will keep you into the game. The story is funny, interesting and entertaining. The combat is engaging, in that youll have to do more than just select fight over & over in order to win, though Its not overly difficult. Not much else to say there; people either like or dislike menu-based combat. If you like SNES era RPG combat, youll probably enjoy this. (Spoiler-y!) The game does end on something of a cliffhanger, with many of the characters plot threads feeling unresolved. Its too bad that some of the characters leave you wanting more, but at the same time itll probably make you want to see if this game has a sequel. Also, I tried this game a while back and it was a little buggy, but now it plays very well! Kudos to the devs for ironing out the rough spots.

I cant express how much I loved that story, it was pleasant, funny, deep and sometimes dramatic. To be fair, I want more of it xD If you are hesitating on wether to buy it or not Ill give you a tip, its the best Classic RPG game you can ever find on IOS! Its totally worth the 1$ and itll give you a really nice journey :) Also, the music is Awesome, epic and nothing less less haha!

This game has an amazing storyline sprinkled with great humor. Top notch mobile phone gaming. Just really bummed that part 2 is not available and my whole life will have a cliff hanger for ever. I will change my rating for a perfect one once part 2 is available again.

Relaxing RPG. Would be great if we have map and the game is very unbalanced.

I really loved this game right up until I ran into a show stopping, absolutely no way around it bug. Sadly that was well over a month ago. A customer left a post on the developers blog almost 2 weeks ago asking for an update, and theres been no response. So to sum up: theres a bug that completely halts play, and the developer is leaving their paying customers with no solution in sight.

It is a lot of fun. Definitely reminds me of the old RPGs I grew up playing. But it can definitely do with fewer random encounters, a map, and a quest log to keep track of where to go. It also crashes quite a bit but the game is good about recovering at the same place so you never have to redo too much after a crash.

Just like games twenty years ago. Interesting story lines, comfortable music and nice manga graphics(not bad even under iPad retina display). Would be nice to have a task list(hint). Took me time to remember what to do from a saved point.

Well done, brings me back to the golden age of SNES RPGS.

This RPG brings back a level of quality rarely seen in modern games. Great character development, dialog, and story.

If you live well written fantasy, and have fond memories of old school RPGs, youve gotta get this. Great characters, story and perfectly casual, relaxing gameplay. Loved it! Make more!
